2018 Miss Buckskin World Contestants........
The restaurants at the Inn At DePauw:
Hello, my names is Alexis Robinson I am 2018 Miss Buckskin World. I am 18 years old and will be attending Texas A&M University in August of this year. I plan on studying nursing and eventually physical therapy in graduate school. I have shown in five different breed associations but have been a member of IBHA the longest. I practically grew up in the association. I retrieved my membership at three because at that point i wanted to show the all around but my parents and I settled on walk trot on my horse scooter gulch. I was not happy with that decision and was determined to prove my parents wrong and show them i was ready for walk, trot and canter. By the time i was five I did just that and started classes like western riding and english too. I would not have been able to accomplish that without my horse scooter. He was a once in a lifetime horse and was truly extraordinary. He was recognized for that in 2017 and was inducted into the hall of fame. I have had the privilege to show many wonderful horses since him that have made me the rider and person I am today. It gave me my work ethic, my drive, my passion, and most importantly the determination to keep going even when the odds are against you. I've dreamt of being Ms Buckskin World all my life. I'd like to thank IBHA for allowing me to represent this amazing organization. Thank you to my friends for sticking with me and encouraging me to go for my dreams even if that means spending less time with them. I'd like to thank my family for their overwhelming support and believing in me. And of course none of this would be possible without the Lord.
